Rich Marek has been working with video since he was a teen, but started seriously considering it as a career in college. He graduated with a degree in Speech-Communication from the University of Minnesota. For the past 30 years, Rich has been a professional videographer, receiving numerous local and international awards for his work. He is now co-owner of Sonrise Productions.
In addition to video, Rich & his wife, Jolene, have traveled to Asia and Latin America on various missions trips. During their stint with Youth With a Mission (YWAM), the couple led worship for their outreach team. They also spent over four months in Singapore working on the pre-production of a Christian musical, before moving to Maui to start a family. Rich & Jolene now live in Minnesota with their two teen-aged children, and co-produces the podcast, Rise & Shine.

Jolene Marek, a former Miss Minnesota USA, designed her own degree in Marketing & Media at Metro State University, during which she began producing and hosting a local television program, Positive Living. After marrying in 1998, she & her husband went through Youth With a Mission (YWAM)'s discipleship training school in Kona, and journeyed to Thailand and The Philippines to do missions work. Following several months in Singapore, where they helped with the pre-production of a Christian musical, Jolene & Rich settled in Hawaii to start a family. Now living in Minnesota, Jolene is active with Freedom to Dance and hosts a podcast, Rise & Shine, which she co-produces with her husband.
